painter born in the Ile de Re La Flotte en Ré in 1913.
talented artist, lover of light, he painted many landscapes and picturesque sites of his native region with harmony and délicatessse in soft pastels with sweets.
Scores oils on canvas or watercolors were dispersed after his death from individuals, private collectors and antique dealers.
Very few works have appeared in public sales to date. Jean
Barillon was primarily a military career. General in the Air Force, he painted many places according to his assignments and travel (Morocco - Bali - Singapore) but mostly landscapes Charentais (Brouage-Fours-Aix - La Rochelle - Ile de Ré) Elevated to the rank of Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor in 1967. Jean Barillon member of French artists exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and cities traversed during his career (Honfleur - Rochefort).
His talent is rewarded each time by first prizes and medals as that awarded by the academic institute in Paris in 1987. In the last years of his life, he takes refuge in Seine et Marne CESSON where he continued to paint in his studio located in her home. He died there in 1996 and his body buried in the cemetery of this city. Ignored
